Membership Policies

At Symetrie, we've spent the last 10 years building more than just a gym.

We've built a community of people who support one another, enjoy training together and show up consistently to become stronger, healthier and more capable for life.

The following policies exist to help classes run fairly, maximise access for members and maintain the experience our community values.

The Symetrie App

The easiest way to manage your membership is through the Symetrie App.Using the app you can:

  • Purchase memberships and class packs

  • Book and cancel classes

  • Join waitlists

  • Manage your account

  • View upcoming bookings

  • Check membership and payment information

The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play.

Booking Access

Unlimited Memberships

  • Unlimited Members can book classes up to 14 days in advance. Priority booking access is one of the key benefits of an Unlimited Membership.

Limited Memberships, Class Packs & Casual Visits

  • Limited Memberships, Class Packs and Casual Visits can book classes up to 7 days in advance.

ClassPass

  • ClassPass users can also book classes up to 7 days in advance.

  • Please note that our peak early morning classes are reserved exclusively for Symetrie members and are unavailable through ClassPass.

Waitlist Policy

Many of our classes, particularly early morning sessions, regularly operate at capacity.

Outside the final 4 hours before class, waitlists operate automatically in numerical order.

When a spot becomes available, the next member on the waitlist will automatically be moved into the class.

Within the final 4 hours before class, waitlists move to a first in, best dressed system.

Everyone on the waitlist receives a notification and the first member to claim the available spot secures the booking.

We encourage all members to keep app notifications enabled if regularly joining waitlists.

Late Cancellation Policy

Classes may be cancelled up to 4 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty.

Cancellations made within 4 hours of class will incur a $5 late cancellation fee.

For Limited Memberships and Class Packs, the session will also be forfeited.

We don't love charging fees.

What we do love is making sure members can access classes.

Our late cancellation policy exists to create fairness around waitlists and class availability, particularly during busy sessions where waitlists can often be 20+ people deep.

Cancelling early gives another member the opportunity to train. That's what this policy is designed to encourage.

No Show & Sign-In Policy

Members who fail to attend a booked class without cancelling will incur a $10 no-show fee.

For Limited Memberships and Class Packs, the session will also be forfeited.

All members are required to sign into class on arrival. Failure to sign in will result in a no-show fee being applied.

No-shows directly impact waitlists and prevent other members from accessing classes. Late cancellation and no-show policies will be applied consistently across all memberships.

Refunds will no longer be provided for:

  • Forgotten cancellations

  • Missed sign-ins

  • Missed classes

Membership Holds

Hold Terms

  • Minimum hold period: 2 weeks

  • Maximum hold period: 8 weeks

  • Hold requests must be submitted via our online form before the hold begins

  • Memberships automatically resume once the hold period ends

  • Mindbody automatically prorates payments based on hold dates

If a payment falls shortly before your hold begins, Mindbody will automatically adjust the payment accordingly.

Booking During a Hold

While your membership is on hold, you won't be able to book classes through the app, even if those classes occur after your return date.

If you'd like to reserve classes before your membership resumes, simply email info@symetrie.com.au during the week prior to your return with your preferred class dates and times and we'll happily add you into available classes manually.

Membership Cancellations

Please complete this online form to request membership cancellation.

To avoid unnecessary charges, we recommend aligning your cancellation date with your fortnightly billing cycle wherever possible.

As payments are processed automatically through Mindbody, we are unable to provide partial refunds for unused portions of a billing cycle.

The easiest way to check your next payment date is:

Profile → Passes → Active Membership

If you're unsure, please contact us and we'll happily help.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails, Mindbody will automatically attempt to reconcile the outstanding payment amount again within 48 hours.

To avoid any disruption of service or additional fees, please log into the Symetrie App to verify your billing information is correct or email us to request a link to update your payment details.

Repeated failed payments may result in booking restrictions until outstanding payments have been resolved.
