FAQs

  • Symetrie offers functional exercise training programmed by Exercise Physiologists. Everything we do is purposeful and deliberate based on the latest scientific studies and proven to achieve the best results. We are redefining functional fitness for the everyday athlete so they can expand what they think is humanly possible and then actually achieve it.

  • We don’t offer free class trials at Symetrie, but recommend you sign up to our Intro Offer. This pass gives you unlimited access to any of our classes over 14 days.

  • The Intro Offer starts from the date of your first session (not the date of purchase).

  • Our Intro Offer is a great way to experience Symetrie and make sure we’re the gym for you, before signing up. We offer different memberships and varied levels of scaling in workouts, so most people can find a membership and train to suit their needs.

Symetrie generally attracts people who share similarities in the way they want to move and feel and what they want to achieve. Generally, our members want to look good, work on being the fittest version of themselves, become and stay moving pain-free, or make friends and belong to a community (or all of the above!).

Our experienced Symetrie trainers are always happy to chat if you find yourself questioning if Symetrie is the right gym for you.

  • Absolutely – you can pause your membership for a minimum of two weeks and maximum of eight weeks if you are injured, busier than usual or expecting to spend time out of town.

Please complete the request to pause membership form at least five business days in advance of your hold period and our team will arrange to suspend your payments. We’ll need a start and finish date for the hold, as we’ll automatically to restart your membership when your hold period ends.

  • To cancel your membership, complete a cancellation request form at least five business days before you plan to stop coming to Symetrie. Once submitted, our team will contact you to arrange your cancellation. If you’d like to join Symetrie again the future, standard membership rates will apply.

  • Everyone is different. Some of our members, especially athletes, train everyday. Others come in for a session once a week. For the best possible results, we recommend attending three sessions a week.

  • There is a maximum of 36 people per group workout.

  • All Symetrie sessions are 45 minutes.

  • Please bring a sweat towel and a water bottle to every class.

  • Always aim to arrive five minutes before your class begins. This gives you enough time to get settled and stretch before starting the session warm up.

  • Symetrie memberships are available to everyone 16 years or older. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver in person.

  • Membership payments are on a fortnightly direct debit (Mindbody Payments is the billing company). Your fortnightly cycle will start on whichever day that you decide to join Symetrie. If you would like to set up an alternative payment schedule, please contact us.

  • Class No-Show & Late Cancel Policy

At Symetrie, we’re committed to creating a fair and accessible booking system so every member has the opportunity to train — especially during our busiest summer season.

    No-Show Fee

    • A $10 fee will apply for no-shows – when a member is booked into a class but does not attend or cancel in advance.

    • This change ensures fair access for everyone. No-shows prevent others on the waitlist from being bumped into class and leave valuable spots unused.

    Signing In

    • Members must sign in upon arrival to every class.

    • If you forget to sign in, the system will automatically record a no-show and apply the $10 fee.

    • Our coaches will remind everyone at the start and end of class, but it’s your responsibility to make sure you’re checked in.

    Late Cancellations

    • There is no fee for late cancellations (within 12 hours of class).

    • However, we encourage cancelling as early as possible if you know you can’t make it. This helps other members on the waitlist secure a spot.

    Waitlist Etiquette

    • If you’re bumped into a class from the waitlist but can no longer attend, please cancel your booking so the next person can take your place.

    • Members who are still on the waitlist or not booked into a class will not be able to join if the class is full.

    Fairness & Capacity

Once a class is full, we’re at capacity. This allows us to manage equipment, space, and programming effectively, ensuring every session remains safe, smooth, and enjoyable for everyone.

    Our Promise

We don’t want to charge anyone a no-show fee. Our goal is simply to encourage fairness and accountability so that every member has the opportunity to train.

We’re continuing to monitor class demand and are working behind the scenes on new ways to increase capacity as our community grows.

Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the Symetrie community.
